'round the clock to ensure my El Camino remains in tip-top shape. I know they'll do a great job because the head technician, Rene, is Jehovah's Witness and he doesn't even so much as utter a cuss word when he gets knocked in the head by a 12" spanner. He's also alot shorter than me, so there's that intimidation factor too. But he's cool, I would never kick his ass.

The other guys don't speak too much English, and I'm a little rusty in the Espanol department. So mostly we just nod at each other, look at the El Camino, and give the thumbs up.

The Andersonville Hardware crew: a bunch of cool guys.

Then there's the guys over at the Andersonville Hardware store. They don't work on the El Camino directly, but do take an active interest in my vehicles. One guy even said that my El Camino was pretty cool, and another guy helped me drill holes in the exhaust pipes of my motorcycle. That makes them OK in my book. I'm constantly amazed how I can go into that small little store and always come out of there with what I need. They are knowledgeable and handy. They are real men. Look at me, I look like some kind of pussy standing next to those guys.
